Meet the team

At JAM Sports Management, founders Mark and Ann Webber and Jason Allen have pooled together their wealth of global experience so they can share it with current and future generations of sporting talent and those keen to be associated with sport.

Mark Webber

A nine times Formula One race winner and one of Australia’s most popular sporting icons, Mark Webber has maintained his down-to-earth and humble character despite the trappings of his F1 lifestyle. His never-give-up attitude and ability to pick himself up again after adversity made him someone everyone could relate to. Although he retired from competition in 2016, Mark is still a familiar face at race tracks around the world in his capacity as a global ambassador for iconic brands such as Porsche, Red Bull, Rolex and Hugo Boss who acknowledge his authenticity and credibility.

He has also carved a niche for himself within broadcasting in the UK and Australia but his true passion has always been in guiding and advising sporting talent whatever the sport. Mark possesses a deep understanding of how professional sportsmen and women tick and during his own career, worked with some of the best experts in the world to bring out the best in himself.

Mark is knowledgeable across all professional sports and his strong networking skills means he is ideally placed to facilitate introductions and connections at the highest levels.

Ann Webber

After working at the top of her field in media and PR for the motorsport and automotive industries in both the UK and Australia for many years, Ann moved into talent management after securing a major sponsor which helped to launch Mark’s international racing career. Ann guided him from the junior ranks in Australia and Europe to Formula One and throughout his twelve year career at the sport’s cut-throat pinnacle, providing career advice and stability. Ann also managed Mark’s many on and off-track projects and partnerships while continuing to develop his profile as an internationally renowned and respected sportsperson.

Ann has a broad skillset including event management, sponsorship acquisition and activation, strategic marketing, brand building and communications for both athletes and commercial partners.

Jason Allen

A passionate, high performance CEO, Jason has over 20 years’ experience in building and growing organisations, having held a variety of senior executive positions with blue chip companies across Australia and the UK. Alongside his role as Jam Sports Management Chairman, Jason is currently the CEO of Harvey Nash, accountable for their Technology Recruitment and the Spinks business across the UK, Ireland, Central Europe, USA and Australia. He was CEO for the 2014 Super Rugby Champions, the NSW Waratahs, and Australia’s largest ticketed V8 Supercars event, the Clipsal 500 Adelaide. He previously held the position of the National Executive General Manager Australia for the consumer business of Vodafone and numerous Non-Executive Director roles.

Otto Bonning

A brand partnership professional with experience in sales and marketing. Otto has worked alongside both tech and financial institutions focusing on branding and global communications.

Otto started his career as an athlete himself playing professional golf for many years. This has given him great insight into an athlete’s mindset as well as in depth knowledge about the business side of sports.

Matt Braid

Matt Braid is an experienced business executive who has held leadership positions in several high profile organisations across the automotive, sport and not for profit sectors.

In 2018 Matt, together with investors formed the Australian Racing Group to establish and develop new motorsport categories in Australia. ARG was subsequently awarded the rights to establish the globally successful TCR Series in Australia and New Zealand, has also developed the S5000 open-wheel category (Australia’s version of IndyCar) that debuted in September 2019, and has gone on to acquire and manage the Australian GT Championship, National Trans Am Series, Touring Car Masters, and the Bathurst 6 Hour and Bathurst International Events.

Prior to launching ARG, Matt was Managing Director of Supercars until the end of 2017 after joining the business in 2015 to restructure its commercial operations. In addition to running the operations of the business, Matt also worked heavily on the transition of Supercars from a single category focus to a ‘whole of sport’ business.

Before joining Supercars, Matt was the Managing Director of Volvo Car Australia and New Zealand, where he successfully repositioned the brand, increased sales, improved customer satisfaction to become the top performing luxury car brand in Australia for customer satisfaction, and was recognised as the 3rd most influential executive for the Volvo brand globally in 2013 by Appinions Inc.

Outside of his business endeavors, Matt was a Director and the inaugural Chairman of the Charlie Teo Foundation which raises funds for brain cancer research.

Dyaln Young

Dylan Young

Dylan Young has been a successful racing driver internationally in single seaters for many years and was the 2019/20 Vice Champion in the MRF Challenge Formula 3 Championship. He possesses enormous hunger and has a complete understanding of the commitment and drive required for athletes to be at the top of their game.

On the other side of the fence he has extensive experience in sourcing, managing and optimising commercial partnerships. Dylan personified the Aussie battler to climb the ranks in his own career by personally bringing together a team of corporate partners and investors. He has a Bachelor of Commerce with Majors in both Marketing and Sport Management and is passionate about building the personal brand of an athlete.

Whilst still racing himself, he is now focused on brand partnership campaigns for the next wave of emerging stars. And having been team mates with the likes of Mick Schumacher and competing against a number of current F1, F2 and Indy Car drivers, Dylan fully grasps both the mindset of an athlete and the needs and objectives of their Sponsorship Partners.
